The Fort Smith Animal Shelter was the first animal shelter in the NWT. Its continuing success is due to the volunteers dedicated to caring for lost, stray, surrendered, and abandoned animals in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories Canada.
The Fort Smith Animal Society and its volunteers have been recognized for being an outstanding volunteer group by the Government of the NWT – MACA, the Northwest Territories Power Corporation, and the Town of Fort Smith for its outstanding community service and efforts.
Helpful people are wanted to assist in looking after the
dogs and cats at the Animal Shelter. There are many ways
to help out. Come out, join the animal shelter team!
