Where the Fort Smith Animal Society has had the animal vaccinated, and/or spayed/neutered, the cost of the vaccinations and spay or neutering may be added to the adoption fee. All animals are implanted with Avid Micro-chips for permanent identification at the time of adoption/placement and registered to the new owner at no additional cost.

The Fort Smith Animal Society may reimburse half the cost associate with the spay or neuter. Certain conditions do apply:

1. Intent to apply for the half reimbursement must be indicated and confirmed prior to the adoption taking place.

2. Spay or neutering must be done by Stickney Veterinary Services when they are in Fort Smith.

3. Spay or neutering must occur within the time frame specified in the Terms and Conditions of Adoption.

4. All other Terms and Conditions of Adoption have been fulfilled.

5. Presentation of a copy of receipt from Stickney Veterinary Services showing the spay or neuter has occurred.
